The BWi Committee is voluntary, voted for by members at the AGM. The committee meets each month on a Tuesday evening, financial members are more than welcome to attend as an observer any committee meeting by advising the secretary 24 hours before.

Sister Sister Properties and Erkib Solo Pty LtdAs a Director of Erkib Solo Pty Ltd since 1983.I initially began Interior Decorating, (teaching and practising) for several years. Then retailing for 17 years, as Canterbury Surfers Paradise Canterbury was sold in 2000, since then I have been Business Manager for our family Specialist Dental Practise.I joined BWi in 2005, personally hoping to meet other business women to share experiences and inspiration. Professionally, I hoped to continue learning through the contact with other women and forums, and to look for future business opportunities.BWi has been an inspiration on all levels, I have learnt, been inspired (constantly), met many wonderful women and enjoyed the journey. Thank you.

 Secretary, Natasha Gray- Suncorp
Natasha Gray is a Business Finance Manager for the Gold Coast region.

Treasurer, Nicole MacDonald – 4U Accountants
After graduating as a New Zealand Chartered Accountant, Nicole gained experience in the public accounting arena with Coopers and Lybrand (NZ) and in the commercial sector as Group Accountant for a NZ public company. Since moving to Australia, Nicole completed her Masters in Business Administration degree while acting as a consultant to a variety of SME’s.After working on the Gold Coast in both commercial and public accounting firms, Nicole founded 4U Accountants, a Business Advisory and Chartered Accountant Practice.

Her mantra ‘Working with you for you’  encompasses  her passion for working closely with business owners to achieve successful and sustainable businesses. Nicole is a proud supporter of the Brisbane Roar Football Team.

 
Administrator, Angela Newstead -anewdesign
Angela successfully runs her own business “anewdesign” in web design for the past 12 years.  Angela’s background with 12 years Hospitality as a Function Co-ordinator initially with Ayers House in Adelaide then onto international hotels on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast  Prior to her hospitality years Angela worked through-out Australia with Drake Personnel as “Temp Staff” in administration.  Angela is a foundation and life member of BWi .

Roxanne Hoskinson, Chan & Naylor
Roxanne is a Partner of the Gold Coast & Brisbane Offices of Chan & Naylor Property & Business Accountants.
Being a Registered Tax Agent since 1983 her years of experience and rapport with the ATO ensures that your taxation affairs are in very safe hands. Roxanne has over 30 years’ experience in running her own businesses and has diversified investments including commercial & residential property.

 

 


Lydia Mudryj - Bell Legal
“Lydia Mudryj heads the litigation and dispute resolution team at Bell Legal Group and practises in the fields of Commercial Litigation, Banking, Insurance, and all aspects of Business Law.She has over 25 years experience conducting litigation and  dispute resolution matters in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Region.Lydia’s primary area of interest centres on educating and protecting clients to minimise their exposure to legal claims, disputes and to avoid litigation.Lydia qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1981 and obtained her Masters of Law from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 1983. She was admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court of New Zealand in 1983, the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in 1987 and in Queensland in 2003.

Lydia is passionate about BWI, its values and the contribution that belonging to the organisation has made to her personally and professionally on the Gold Coast..” 

 


Sue Borg, Exhibitek Displays
Sue is joint owner and manager of Exhibitek Displays.
Sue’s first job was at the then Bank of New South Wales (Westpac for all gen Y members) and her claim to fame was becoming the first female teller in South Australia.  That was in the days when bank managers and first tellers had guns to protect the staff.  She distinctly remembers an ambulance being called when the manager shot himself in the foot while explaining the safety lock to her. 
Favourite pastime when not at BWI or working in the trade show industry is spending time at the beach and hanging with family and friends.

 


Rehana Adcock - Adcock Management
After 16 years working in the film and television industry around Australia, Rehana moved into the world of Event Management on the Gold Coast.  She now runs her own company called Adcock Management and has several charity and corporate clients.  Rehana was a founding member of BWi. 

 

 


Michelle Farr, Farr Rasmussen Lucas Accountants and Business Advisors.

Michelle has been principal of Farr RasmussenLucas Accountants and Business Advisors since 2003.

 After a career in the banking industry ‘before kids’, Michelle decided to change direction and as a result graduated from university with a business degree in 1995 and her CPA accreditation in 1999. Since then Michelle has developed a thorough knowledge in many areas of accounting and taxation, to provide a comprehensive range of services to her clients. Michelle prides herself in the knowledge that her clients are receiving that often sought after ‘personal’ service, with an emphasis on being proactive with her clients rather than reactive. Working with her clients to achieve positive results is the ultimate compliment.

 Michelle has been a member of BWI since September 2009 She firmly believes that BWI is helping to inspire businesswomen of the Gold Coast to reach their potential and become prominent figures in the business world.
